Marlene Laureys

I used to live in Wanaka, where I worked as an independent massage therapist, both from a physiotherapy clinic and an osteopath clinic for about 8 years.

I am trained originally as an aromatherapist, but in working in closely with the osteopath and physiotherapists, developed my own style. I work mostly with trigger point release in combination with relaxing moves such as in Swedish massage, plus Petrissage and Friction as in sports massage and deep tissue. I’m also trained in Bowen therapy and finished a Reiki 1 course.

My clients ranged from top athletes; I worked with the USA Olympic B downhill ski team one winter to people that just needed maintenance both on a physical and emotional level.

Since living in Christchurch, I have been and still am working from a Physiotherapy clinic that specialises in RSI and OOS, and last year worked with the international dance percussion group STOMP.

I have always led a very active lifestyle, professionally as well as in my leisure and family time and am currently enjoying the Christchurch sea breezes and the waves.

I am available for appointments Monday, Tuesday and Friday.
